2015 Island Packet 485

La Paz

*** Vessel is owned and registered under an LLC which will transfer with ownership.***

When this boat was commissioned, the Island Packet factory referred to 485 Hull #73 as "the nicest Island Packet Ever Built!" Now, after being meticulously maintained by a professional captain, she is once again available! 2022 survey available upon request!

Someone very lucky will be the new owner of this special girl. At the time of her build, she was equipped at a value of $1,228,000.00, and this number would be a great deal higher today. She is fully outfitted for cruising with full electronics, watermaker, generator, air/heat, arch, full Iverson dodger and bimini w/2 enclosures, sat tv and phone...and so much more!

Manufacturer Provided Description

The 485, provides enormous living space, enough storage to hold provisions for a circumnavigation, enough sail to speed you comfortably to your destination and the convenience of managing it all from the cockpit. From the integral bow platform to the spacious stern boarding area, the 485's deck abounds with features owners will appreciate. On deck, you'll find generous open spaces and secure hand holds, hatches and lazarettes that lead to all sorts of storage lockers, uncluttered sidedecks, a recessed foredeck and cabin top handrails for safe footing all around. You'll also find our exclusive patented SeaSafe anchor rollers that provide fully captive, low chafe guides for chain and rode for quick anchor deployment and secure storage. A very spacious aft deck and sun platform complement the remainder of the 485's very secure topsides. Below, you'll be immediately impressed by the panoramic view of the expansive main saloon, the open central area, the huge forward and aft cabins with private heads, the solid teak and oak soles throughout, the gourmet galley, the extra stateroom/office/workshop and a nav station that rivals those on much larger yachts.

Down below, this boat is a shining example of Island Packet's renowned comfort, style, quality and livability. Sapele wood is used for interior bulkheads, cabinetry and trim, with deluxe raised panel cabin doors, extensive radius corner detailing, cedar-lined lockers and drawers and solid teak and oak soles in all staterooms, as well as the forward passageway and main saloon. A furniture quality satin gloss varnish is applied to all interior wood surfaces in a multi-coat process. Slip resistant molded cabin soles are located in head and shower compartments, galley, nav center and companionway area. Premium designer fabrics and surfaces harmonize and compliment the luxurious interior throughout. There are 15 opening ports, five overhead hatches and four stainless steel Dorade vents with guards keep the spacious interior bright, airy and fresh. The cabin hatches are fitted with custom OceanAir shade/screen systems and the opening stainless steel ports and large cockpit windows include custom screens. Upon entering the interior on comfortably angled companionway steps, one is immediately impressed by the expansive main saloon with panoramic views through an array of large windows. Full length settees with gently angled shapes, luxurious navy UltraLeather cushions and an open central area invite socializing and gracious entertaining. A hallmark Island Packet feature, the saloon table, stows against the forward bulkhead and easily deploys to create a large dining area when desired. There is also a custom smaller removable table for occasional use with a liftout post for mounting at either side of the saloon. The starboard settee converts to a double berth when fully extended. The raised salon also allows for excellent stowage under the settees and generous tankage below the sold. Stepping down from the salon aft and to port of the companionway, a full size navigation center wraps around a large, forward facing table. The nav chair is a deluxe pedestal mounted swivel armchair covered in the navy UltraLeather as well. There is a storage compartment adjacent to the nav station/companionway that sits under the counter extending from the galley area. Moving aft from the salon to the starboard side, you will step into the walk-thru galley. The galley has a wide, open layout with room to move about comfortably, and three opening ports to keep it light and airy and making it a pleasure to use. The separate refrigerator and freezer compartments with digitally controlled cooling units, are equipped with double gasketed drop-front lids on gas support struts for easy access. A pull-out refrigerated drawer is included for popular beverages and food items. All the conveniences one would expect from Island Packet are also provided, such as, built-in dish racks and cutlery drawers, deep double sinks, slide-out trash bin, microwave, and abundant cabinet and locker storage. Further enhancements include custom Corian counter surfaces with integral sea rails, Force 10 LPG range with broiler, extra harness attachments, and a water purifying system serving all interior cold water sink taps. The aft master suite has a generous double berth easily accessible from all sides, numerous storage, shelf, drawer and locker areas as well as a custom desk and swivel chair. The opening ports and large overhead hatch make this a bright and well-ventilated retreat. The private, en-suite head has a vanity, separate stall shower with a teak seat and folding acrylic doors, plus a toilet vestibule for electric fresh water toilet. The countertop is a lovely blue Corian and there are two frosted ports for ventilation. The third cabin is located forward of the salon to starboard. There are two sink bunk style berths, the bottom of which can be converted to a double and a cedar-lined hanging locker for storage. The forward head is accessible from the forward stateroom and forward hallway. Nicely equipped and appointed with electric fresh water toilet, separate stall shower, Groehe plumbing fixtures, Corian countertops, two frosted ports and overhead hatch for ventilation.
