Specifications

Salon

The main salon is open and airy with great visibility all around. The finished wood is teak with a satin finish. The light-colored wall covering above the wainscoting really lightens the area and gives a more contemporary feel. The loose furniture gives an open feel to the salon and also allows the new buyer many options in the future. The audio/visual system on Opus IV is top of the line, creating a nice atmosphere for movies and entertaining. The surround sound speakers are flush mounted into the overhead and the TV is on a lift allowing all the equipment to be hidden away when not in use.

Galley

The galley of Opus IV is a gourmet chef’s dream. High end appliances, ample counterspace to prep meals and an abundant amount of storage. The galley countertop is Caesarstone with a waterfall edge, a nice feature unique to Opus IV.

Master Stateroom

The master stateroom of Opus IV is finished in a rich satin teak with a light-colored wall covering above the wainscoting. The full beam design creates a spacious and roomy stateroom. The hanging locker and drawer storage in this stateroom was well thought out, with multiple hanging lockers and several banks of drawers. The master stateroom is equipped with a king size berth as well as opening portlights and opening overhead hatches allowing for good natural light as well as ventilation. The master head is spacious with all the conveniences of home, including Caesarstone countertops, tile floor and high-end fixtures.

VIP Guest Stateroom

The VIP stateroom on the lower deck is fitted with a queen size berth and a spacious full head. There is ample hanging locker and drawer storage. The rich satin teak and light wall covering is continued down on the lower deck in both guest staterooms and the hallway. The VIP guest stateroom is equipped with portlights which allow for nice natural light in this cabin. The opening portlights and fresh air blower are a great source of ventilation.

Guest Cabin

The guest stateroom on the lower deck has a full-size berth. The head is located a few steps aft down the hallway. There is adequate hanging locker and drawer storage. The guest stateroom is equipped with portlights which allow for nice natural light in this cabin as well. The opening portlights and fresh air blower are also a great source of ventilation.

Lower Hallway

The lower hallway area has the same rich satin teak and light wallcovering as the rest of the boat. This area allows the operator access to the engine room thru a PCM watertight door. The lower hallway is also home to a full-size washer and dryer as well as a spacious linen closet.

Pilothouse

The pilothouse is equipped with up to date electronics and navigation equipment. From the two Stidd helm chairs the dash equipment is all easily accessible. There was a lot of thought put into the pilothouse dash layout of Opus IV. The boats systems are monitored by the Maretron system, which also allows the operator to keep track of what’s happening onboard remotely from a laptop or tablet. The guests aboard Opus IV have a great vantage point from the pilothouse settee, which is set up higher than the dash and allows for great unobstructed views all around. Within the settee there is a drinks fridge, with a teak overlay door so it blends into the cabinetry nicely. The pilothouse houses plenty of storage for your gear, charts, etc. Aft of the pilothouse is captain’s cabin and day head.

Manufacturer Provided Description

The distinct styling of the 62 has been a Nordhavn hallmark for a dozen years, and the 68 captures the essence of her smaller sister. Yet it incorporates the latest thinking in design, systems and technology and packages it all into a beamier, heartier hull. And despite the size advantage, this vessel will just as easily be managed by a cruising couple without need for captain and crew. Stepping onto the boat, the massive size of the 21-foot wide expanse will be immediately felt. The 68 carries its beam further aft and has a higher freeboard forward, thus providing more room on the inside. Offered in both an asymmetrical and dual-walkaround layout, the huge saloon will be an ideal gathering area for when the boat plays host to larger groups. Meanwhile, cooking for the masses will be a snap in the big gourmet galley with such features as granite countertops and SubZero appliances. Because the 68 is an aft pilothouse model, the foredeck is open so there are deck hatches for lots of light and ventilation. This is especially noticeable in the sumptuous master stateroom. Located just two steps down and forward from the saloon/galley area, the bright and airy cabin offers its owners a pleasant haven for an afternoon nap or good night’s sleep. Guests will be treated to two luxurious staterooms located down a staircase just off the galley/saloon. Two heads – one ensuite – are swathed in granite and the finest fixtures. Situated just across the hall from the staterooms is the roomy, state-of-the-art engine room with its 6’2” ceiling. Purring along will be a 400-hp single Dietroit Diesel Series 60 14L engine that will drive forward the 180,000 lb. boat at a cruising speed of 9.5 kts.
